The existing 1.37 million sq. ft. building underwent a major interior renovation, where roughly 400,000 sq. ft. of the existing building was converted into refrigerated cooler space. The project also included a 175,000 sq. ft. expansion to accommodate Walmart’s growing grocery distribution needs which included 20 additional loading bays and renovations to the existing gatehouse & a hydrogen fueling station. As the prime consultant, ABBARCH worked closely with the client, their internal departments, and the building user groups to fully understand their operational, systems, and spatial needs. We collaborated with specialist consultants to ensure the careful integration of complex systems on this technically demanding project.
