Guildford Village is a new open-plaza-style shopping center in North Surrey, British Columbia, developed for ABBARCH’s long-standing client, the Jim Pattison Group. Covering a total area of 126,000 sq. ft., the site features Save-on-Foods as its anchor tenant, five standalone buildings, and 170,000 sq.ft. of below grade parking. ABBARCH provided turn-key services for the new Save-on-Foods grocery store and base building support for all other tenants. As the prime consultant, ABBARCH played a crucial role in navigating the challenging Development Permit approvals process, which involved multiple phased building permit submissions and a phased occupancy strategy. The site design incorporates complex vertical transportation schemes and circulation flow to enhance exit efficiency.
